Tania has experience in all health issues and treats all ages and sexes with a focus on the life cycle paradigm. Tania has a great interest and specialises in women's health and in the social, emotional and mental health issues that affect individuals.
In the 21st century there is an emerging awareness concerning health and well being. With the development of science and natural medicine treatments and the coming together of both, there are multiple ways of healing including the mind, intuition and body intelligence.
"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" WHO constitution
Over the years Tania has worked in a variety of Natural Health and Medical Centres, including Kurrajong Health Farm, and has gained knowledge and experience in bridging the complexity between natural medicine and the medical model. Tania has also presented and taught Natural Medicine in a variety of places, conferences and organisations; facilitated workshops and guided individuals through meditation practices.
Since 1992 Tania has worked in partnership with the Aboriginal Medical Service - Western Sydney, Aboriginal communities and families, and acknowledges Aboriginals as the first people's of Australia and honours their place in this great land. The understandings gained in this area has developed Tania's strong interest in ancient healing practices worldwide and its place in the health of individuals in contemporary times.
Knowledge
Tania has grounding in herbal medicine, iridology, nutrition and flower essences and with further learning in Transpersonal Psychology and Social Ecology has developed a knowledge and understanding that individuals are more than just their bodies and physical illness … they are living beings with the complexity of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects, living their lives in relationship with family and community in a natural/ urban environment.
Consultation time is spent in exploring natural medicines that suit the individual. The focus on 'person-centered' therapy assists in the healing of physical ‘disease’, emotional imbalance and mental health to achieve the person’s full potential. There is an understanding to explore the hidden influences that affect the well-being of individuals, 'the seen and unseen' ... and in the preparation of the patients unique herbal tonic with flower essences for that person's optimum well-being.
Tania's style is being aware of an individuals health but also recognises a person's uniqueness which includes their life story and experiences which forms their sense of Self and identity.
With inherent body intelligence that promotes self healing an individual can aspire to have their own input into their health and lifestyle changes. The goal is to support individuals in the transformation of their own awareness to encompass good health and well-being.
